The title and motif are derived from Laputa, the floating island in the sky in Gulliver’s Travels. However, the actual original idea was Miyazaki’s idea of ​​Treasure Island when he was an elementary school student, and he came up with the idea of ​​a treasure island floating in the sky. It consists of two laser discs.
