DANCING SHOES

Overview:

DANCING SHOES is Seiko Matsuda’s 22nd single album released on June 24, 1985. It was released on the day of her wedding with Masaki Kanda (神田正輝), which was called the wedding of the century.
All the songs on this album have lyrics in English, not Japanese, and the name was released under SEIKO, not Seiko Matsuda. The Japanese music industry was heavily influenced by Western pop since the mid-to-late 80s, so this song gives off a feeling similar to that feeling.
She took a two-year hiatus from music after this song. It reached number one on the Oricon chart. It was also released as a single in the UK, and the UK version has a different jacket photo.
