The Pineapple album is the fifth studio album by Seiko Matsuda, released on May 21, 1982. It was released as Pineapple/Orange, not Side A/B.
As the title of the album, Pineapple, suggests, the album is themed around the refreshing and bright atmosphere of summer. There are many cheerful and refreshing songs throughout the album, and it presents music that suits the warm weather.
At the time, Seiko Matsuda said she thought the last track, , was a very adult song.
The main tracks are track 5, Nagisa no Balcony (渚のバルコニー), track 7, Lemonade no Natsu (レモネードの夏), and track 8, Akai Sweet Pea (赤いスイートピー).
