Shiroi Parasol(白いパラソル)
Overview:
Shiroi Parasol (白いパラソル) is a single album released on July 21, 1981, and is Seiko Matsuda(松田聖子)’s sixth single.
Shiroi Parasol (白いパラソル) is a song that delicately depicts the summer mood through the symbolic image of a white parasol along with a soft and refreshing melody. The lyrics of this song describe a girl’s pure love and excitement against the backdrop of a romantic summer beach.
Yoshiko Miura (三浦徳子), who had been in charge of writing the lyrics up until the previous work, left and Takashi Matsumoto (松本隆) took charge of writing the lyrics.
The B-side’s Hana Hitoiro ~Nogiku No Sasayaki~ (花一色 ~野菊のささやき~) became the theme song for the movie The Wild Daisy (野菊の墓) starring Seiko Matsuda in the same year.
It achieved first place as soon as it appeared on The Best Ten broadcast for the first time in history.
The A-side is Shiroi Parasol(白いパラソル), and the B-side is ~Nogiku No Sasayaki~ (花一色 ~野菊のささやき~).
